We bring people together to support meaningful causes and share memorable experiences

Our process

We start by choosing an organization that addresses a cause we care about. We might have a personal connection to their mission or just a passion for their purpose.

The organization may be local, but sometimes we support a meaningful cause that is halfway across the globe.

Next we determine what the organization needs and where we can help. It could be just about anything, including social media, legal, accounting, fundraising, board recruitment, strategic planning, databases and more.

Then we find people in our group who can help address those needs and connect them with the organization.

Here are some recent examples

Central Furniture Rescue

Warriors for Good has worked with Central Furniture Rescue, a volunteer-run organization in Cedar Rapids, IA, that provides furniture and  household items to families transitioning from homelessness into their own homes. In 2023, our team provided marketing assistance and strategic planning.

Lemons of Love

Warriors for Good teamed up with Lemons of Love, a nonprofit organization that shares love with people impacted by cancer, to raise funds to fill Lemons of Love Chemo Care Packages. With your support, we raised $23,000, enabling us fill 230 care packages and deliver them to hospitals in Chicago, Cedar Rapids, and San Francisco.

Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation

Warriors for Good raised funds and awareness for two programs that are administered by the CRCSF: the Homeless Program, which provides homeless children in the district with access to some of the tools they need to have a successful school experience, and the SAFE program, which ensures that no one is prevented from participating in an extracurricular activity because of financial need. Our virtual fundraiser, Get Together for Education, raised approximately $14,000 for the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation.

CDKL5 Center of Excellence

In 2013, the daughter of our classmate Paul was diagnosed with the rare CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder. The beautiful Natalya requires 24/7 care, and the CDKL5 Center of Excellence at Children's Hospital Colorado provides Natalya and her family with expert assistance to help them understand the complications associated with present and future physiological and medical issues. In 2021, our Warriors for Good team promoted and supported a blues concert in Boulder, CO that raised almost $17,000 for the CDKL5 Center of Excellence.

2020 MicroClinic Initiative

2020 MicroClinic Initiative, a non-profit organization led by classmate Lynne, works to improve the health of mothers and their families in medically underserved communities in Africa. Warriors for Good teamed up to raise nearly $50,000 to support 2020 MicroClinic Initiative and to save hundreds of lives in rural Kenya.
